His groundbreaking ideas have shaped many specialist disciplines as well as the intellectual climate of the twentieth century. Adam Phillips was Principal Child Psyc***herapist at Charing Cross Hospital in London. He is the author of several books on psycho***ysis. Hugh Haughton is a senior lecturer at the University of York. He edited Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass for Penguin Classics.
