Highsmith is a modern-day historicalp***ographe***ho has captured the rebirth of Washington's Pennsylvania Avenue corridor and Union Station; the splendor of the Library of Con- gress, Ge***e Washington's Mount Vernon Estate, the U.S. Botanic Gardens, and the capital city's for- eign embassies; and memorable restoration projects in all fifty U.S. states. She is donating her life's work to the Library of Congress, which has created the Carol M. Highsmith Archive to receive it.

Ted Landphair is a Voice of America writer and re- porte***ho has collaborated with Highsmith on several books, including F***otten No More, the story of the Korean War Ve***ns Memorial. He has won a Ge***e Foster Peabody Award and several Voice of America and New Orleans Press Club awards fo***riting.
