本书对瑞典军事博物馆藏的300多面俄***旗使用的中国丝绸进行艺术和技术的深入考察和分析记录，并对其上的丝绸图案进行分类、复原及研究。本书由中国和瑞典军事博物馆合作撰写。该论著主要由论文和图录、附录等部分组成，论文包括藏品收藏经过、总体介绍、技术和艺术特点，共计5篇文章。图录包括近130面军旗及其纺织品的图片、纹样复原图，纺织品图片有整体图和局部图，并有对应的文物信息、纺织品研究和分析。附录包含有近300面军旗藏品图片及对应的信息，本书参考文献等。
